Esperanto is, if nothing else, a valuable artifact in the history of
conlanging, whether you like the language or not. Personally, I find
it elegant - but I also like Perl. :) (siimilar thing, I guess.
Nouns end in -o, scalars begin with $...) And of course E-o can be a
bit repetitive. But yes, it has a symbol, a flag in fact - remember
that it's not just a language, but a whole Movement, one which had
significant momentum early last century. The idea was that
Esperantists could identify each other by wearing little green stars,
and businesses where E-o was spoken could likewise put verdaj steloj
in their windows.
