Ironically, one of the more common uses of "proper" stateside results in something
improper. In Excel and elsewhere, "proper case" (i.e., the PROPER() function)
means that the first letter of each word is capitalized (including "is" and
"a"), which isn't proper capitalization in any style manual I'm aware of. ;)
When I use the function, I have to manually correct its errors.
