I had nothing to do, and was tired of writing broken
English, so I decided to translate Le Corbeau et le
Renard into Europanto (*).
Le Corvo och el Fuchs
Master Corvo, na dendro posado,
Tenia in son snavel un queijo.
Master El Fuchs, por the lukt adescato,
Emu addressed mas o menos deze langage:
- Hey, kalimera, Senhor del Corvo !
Wie joli zhe du er ! How tu mne hermoso scheinst !
Sin aa lyve, if Uw ramage
Agrees met Uw plumaggio,
Tu bist the Phenix mejdu gli guests van dette wood !
A diese palavras, le Corvo uit av Freude sebja no more
se fuehlt
Y, para aa vise su belle Stimme,
Ouvre un snavel bolshoj, deja hans prey vallen.
El Fuchs grasps det, och zagt:
Min goede Senhor, let it vam be known, che jeder
flatteur
Vive alle costs van deze, chi emu zuhoert !
Este lekse bien vale un queijo, sans tvile !
Le Corvo, ashamed och confuso,
Jura, no un poco spaet,
Che evo niet mas le prenderen.
Juan von the Fontein
