The Mensa Gathering will likely be West to Northwest.
I don't remember the exact name of the suburb the
hotel was at last year.  I think it started with an
"A" and I know it was about 20 minutes north of
Wheaton.  It should be in the same vicinity this year;
iirc it's been a good area for it historically.

I also wanted to pass on this invitation from my
friend Cynthia Clampitt, who is one of the people in
charge of the HalloweeM Gathering (Note: I had
discussed with both her and this group earlier about
doing a conlanging presentation at the Gathering;
there have been no takers to this point but the door
is still open, if closing....):

mythopoetic giants. He'll
be talking on Tolkein's myth of the creation of Middle
Earth."
