It sort of depends. If you create a phonology first, then when�you get to the
grammar stage, you can use actual words as you�work things out, but you need
not do that. After all, with simple�place holders (like English glosses) you
can figure out a grammar,�and then go back and work out the phonology once
you've�settled on the major principles of your grammar. As for the�order
within grammar (e.g., morphology and syntax) and the�lexicon, I can't think
of an order. With morphology, I usually�start with nouns, because I like them
better, but that's a personal�preference, and has nothing to do with a
supposed logic of�morphology creation. Why not do what you
