Well, I mangled my own point too. I wanted to add that the effect of the
fungus depended also on the substrate it was on, but forgot to add it at
the last moment :((( .
I remember reading a 500-page book about mushrooms back when I was 10. I
don't remember much of it except that fungi are a fascinating order :) .
