Hmmm... Modern Colombian seem to be developing this triplete.
Spahish has always had
conocer : to know something, be familiar with something
saber : to know a fact
But many people, at least in Bogota basilect, also have:
distinguir : to know someone (who someone is)
probably no to confuse "conocer" with knowing "in the biblical sense".
