I think that is also why my Uncle Kai is gigglafittin' --- he sometimes
is a graphic designer and is a notorious colour chart/sample collector/pack
rat...
when not fightin as a mercenary in some gods-forsaken war like in Bosnia
or "X-treme adventurin'" in harsh climes like Siberia, Kurdistan, Timor,
Kanaky or Peru (sans passport or government permissions but waaay plenty
guns-'n'-grenades in crates)
or protecting Yukon land/goldmine claims and US properties for certain
Japanese "bosses"
or on a gamblin'-&-womanizin' safari with other veteran British
Commonwealth "gone-a-soldiering type scum" (funny thing tho': Kai "the Jungle Fox"
Chang fought _against_ these very SAS Commando types in the Malaysian War for
Independence in 1948 when he was only 12 years old! and then just less than 5 yrs.
later he was fighting against Surkano in Indonesia...)
His soldier/partisan/scholar-heroes: Lawrence of Arabia, Richard Burton,
William S. Jones, Paul Eluard and Blaise Cendrars. (I recently turned him onto
Iannis Xenakis...who beats even Burton IMHO in the ferocity, tenacity &
untamed creativity dept.s any day...)
