Semi-cliche joke from the southwestern United States: an Indian looks
at a sunburned Anglo and says to another Indian: "And they call *us*
redskins?"
It seems to be common throughout the world to identify Europeans with
ghosts/devils, as notoriously in China and West Africa, but also in
New Zealand, where "maori" means "ordinary (non-ghost) person".
