Is that the Latin word? Something to do with _vesper_, surely?
In any case, do any of you know where did the Spanish word come
from, _murci=E9lago_? I can only guess that mur- ('mouse'?) has
something to do, but other than I'm clueless. [Childish aside:
this word is 'special' because it has the five vowels!]
