Mhmm - I think that we could record movement in still frames as soon as we
started drawing on cave walls, running past them would produce an animated
image! (I kid.) What I was trying to convey was the notion of live
communication, such as live TV, or live radio broadcast.
An interesting thought, what would an illuminated manuscript look like if it
was literal transcriptions of signs? That would be incredible (and
cumbersome!).
