Er, "where *English* was used".
(Though it's also entirely possible to directedly "shout" over the
heads of other people in ASL, without having the broadcast effect
that's automatic when you shout vocally.)
Also, Parker, you missed one attention-getter - light-switching. I've
never seen it needed, but it's supposed to be about the same as
stomping hard - used to get the (brief) attention of everyone in the
room. If you only need one, you point and everyone else goes back to
whatever; if you really do want everyone, you wave your hands a lot
and they get the idea.
