Of course only answer to posts of the same thread in one email. So for example if you want to answer to a message from the other thread, "Concept_sitting", don't do it all in a thread (e.g. "French") that doesn't have anything to do with that, even when you're bulk-replying. Of course you can also start a new thread when the discussion topic has changed during discussion (like I did with this mail). Other than that, your mail program already indicates to who you are answering automatically. Just open the mail, click "reply", and copy the "Le 00 mois 00 à 00:00, John Doe a écrit :" your mail program puts above quotations and the snippet you want to reply to (never the whole mail in case it's rather long!) into the mail window which you want to use for your replies. It's essentially like in forums, except the program you use isn't your browser, but your mailer. :) It's up to people themselves to make a filter in their mailing program that specially marks a mail when their name has been mentioned. However, what I mean is that at least *my* idea of proper quoting style looks kind of like this for bulk-replies: | Hi! | | On January 22, 2009 John Doe wrote: | > Bla bla bla bla bla bla | > Bla bla bla bla | | In my opinion ... | | On January 21, 2009 Jack Smith wrote: | > On January 19, 2009 Jane Doe wrote: | > > Lorem ipsum ... | > | > [...] dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. | | Suspendisse at lectus. Maecenas ut libero quis risus... | | Regards | ABC That way it's clear who you're replying to, even if you quote multiple people in one mail.

Nobody said you're *forced* to answer everything and all at once. :) Regards Carsten (Sorry if I may have slipped into a patronizing tone, it wasn't meant that way! I just intended to share some advice.) -- Ang ming sungva baloybenungley nā ya: http://benung.nfshost.com/
