Grandmother Little Bear Woman calls this school the "Thurrodowists" in
_Planet of Exile_, and refers to its Elder and Younger Canons. It's an
interesting property of Thurrodowism (unlike that other religion with two
testaments) that whereas the Younger Canon sometimes corrects and updates
the Elder Canon, the Elder Canon also corrects and updates the Younger.
For example, the Y.C. warns against enterprises that require getting
dressed up, whereas the E.C. tells us that sometimes getting dressed up
is exactly what people want to do. This is pointed out in the notes to
GLBW's "collation/ripoff" of the E.C., _The Way and The Power of the Way_.

[R]eversing the apostolic precept to be all things to all men, I usually [before
Darwin] defended the tenability of the received doctrines, when I had to do
with the [evolution]ists; and stood up for the possibility of [evolution] among
the orthodox--thereby, no doubt, increasing an already current, but quite
undeserved, reputation for needless combativeness. --T. H. Huxley
