Irregularities... what's that?
I guess there are many levels of irregularities, mainly predictable and
unpredictable, and designing unpredictable irregularities is difficoult. =
My
current projects Hangkerimce and Chleweyish (why always I replay to a sur=
vey by
Sally my current projects has changed?) have to different approaches... H=
=2E is
suposed to be related to the conculture Hangkerim and Chleweyish is supos=
ed to
become the language of the Chleweyness, which is a culture of one.
It would seem logic to make Ch. become a more regular language but, my de=
sign
process will hopely made it as irregular as it can be understood, some of=
the
features:
Predictable irregular orthography (how many conlangs have something like =
that?)
examples: ca =3D /ka:/, ce =3D /tSe:/, can =3D /kAn/, cancan =3D /kANc@=
n/, cay =3D
/k&I/, coy =3D /cOj/, cey =3D /tSi:/, cew =3D /tS_ju:/
Irregular SV order where NNV could be SSV, OSV, SOV, or S(of N)V
Everything else around will apear and as longer as it can be understood w=
on't be
grammatized. Nouns have no cases, pronouns will.
About H. is a more controled language yet so probably irregularities (I w=
ant
irregularities) will be deliberarated but most of them are in the pronunc=
iation
system reather than in the script (actually a "word") could have differen=
t
pronunciations depending the emphasis and the sourronding words.
