Artistic research and urge to create. Some paint because they like it, I
conlang because it's an art form I happen to like more then any other. But
that's not a definite answer. I don't think you can find a painter, a poet or a
writer who has a real definite answer on why s/he paints, writes poems or prose.
It's the mystery of artistic abilities. Some prefer an art form, some prefer
another, some don't feel like doing anything artistic (strange people in my
opinion :) ).
