I conlang because I love languages. Conlangs started out as being something
to flesh out a fantasy world for me, but they have become the bedrock of the
world. I also created my own conlangs to understand how natlangs work-
Aredos is just one big exercise in Historical linguistics- it halps me
understand Latin, Sanskrit and Greek better, not to mention PIE.
Also, Carashan, especially, is to me one of the most beautiful languages on
earth (or Telmona ;o) ). I could sit and speak it for hours. It's the only
one of my conlangs I've taken the trouble to learn.
