In the older (pre-unification) version of
Thagojian, only certain consonants could appear
in any given word, but that was down to some
grammatically-conditioned suprasegmental stuff.
Much like in Celtic langs, where the initial
consonant is mutated, in old Thagojian, whole
words would have one, two or sometimes more sets
of mutations applied.
E.g. a word might be all nasals (to show it was a
possesed noun), and have the voice mask "-+..."
(i.e. voiceless first, then all voiced) to show
it was a tool-noun derived from a verb, for
example |mfhingma| /F_01Nm@/ ((somebody's)
eye-glasses), from {fkp}, (root related to vision).
