Well, "El Llanero Solitario" was a hero in my young days, and his blood
brother "Toro"... well, I can see why Tonto was rename as Toro (Bull), af=
ter
"tonto" means "dumb" in Spanish.  I remember the television series in the
late 70's and a movie in the early 80's, not to mention comic stripes.

Somthing not too stereotypical, if I remember correctly, the Lone Ranger =
was
not the typical good cowboy vs. bad Indians... most of the bad characters
where the bad cowboys... I guess I remember some stripe where the Lone
Ranger had to save Tonto who was accussed by the peoples of some town of
murder, just for being Indian, and the Lone Ranger with a precise shot wi=
th
a silver bullet to the rope saves his friend from being hanged at the las=
t
minute... that was the kind of histories.
