| Sounds a bit like a pidgin/creole to me. Have you investigated any of them?
| I was brought up speaking Tok Pisin, aka Neo-Melanesian, as well as English,
| and it sounds like your Troll-speak is a perfectly ordinary pidgin.
|
| Oh, and you might want to bring in a lot of gesture, if my reading of
| primatology and paleo-anthropology is correct.

Yeah, I'm working on that. I just made this up so it's pretty much your everyday
pidgin/creole (or minimalist IAL).

I like your idea of using physical gestures in tandem with a spoken language,
since the species had only that to communicate before they were taught their
language.

A page I just wrote is now on the web -- in .txt format because I like my stuff
to be "no frills", simplistic in form. Since it's a funky URL, just click the
link or copy it and paste it in your browser:

It's a work in progress, and I'll have a vocabulary up soon -- I'll probably use
Basic English or something as a model.
