Okay, so verbs have the following classes:
I) STEM CLASS
II) INFINITIVE CLASS
III) PRESENT-STEM CLASS
IV) PAST-STEM CLASS
I) STEM CLASS
These are divided into Vowel Stems (a), Consonant
Stems (b), and Compound Stems (c).
a) Vowel stems: -a, -ya, -o, -u, -i, -ē, -e
b) Consonant stems: -r, -s, -T, -D, -K, -n, -l,
-w, -m, -Gw, -G, -k, -t, -ng, -P, -(w), -ay, -p, -B,
-L
c) Compound stems: -rn, -nd/t, -sk, -nn, -mn,
-ld, -mp, -st
The usefulness of this category is found when one
attemps to apply certain morphophonemic changes when
applying suffixes. If the stem class is known, then
only those changes affecting the final sound of the
stem will be applied.
II) INFINITIVE CLASS
These are divided into A) Simple and B) Extended
These are both subdivided thus:
A) Simple: a1) -llë (certain verbs with pasts in
-në, or with an -l- extension in the past)
a2) -llo
B) Extended: b1) Thematic
b2) Athematic
These Thematic and Athematic classes are then extended
further:
Thematic:
1) -eyello > -iello
2) -ayallo > -eallo
3) -eyallo > -eallo
Athematic:
1) -ello
2) -ollo
3) -yallo
4) -yello
In total therefore, there are 8 Infinitive Classes.
III) PRESENT-STEM CLASS
These are divided into Thematic and Athematic and
Secondary.
Thematics are formed with vowel suffixes (usually the
first vowel in monosyllabic roots)
Thematic:
-e-
-a-
-o-
-u-
-i-
Athematic:
-r 3rd person singular
-n 3rd person singular
Secondary: These are the same as the thematic
suffixes, but they are used in the imperfective of
normally athematic-present verbs. The impersonal of
these verbs takes the secondary suffix after its
characteristic -n- suffix
IV) PAST-STEM CLASS
These are divided into Vocalic, Zero-Ending,
Consonantal.
Vocalic Pasts are:
A) -ë
B) -i
Consonantal are:
A) Sigmatic:
1 -si
2 -ssi
B) Dental:
-ti
C) Nasal:
1 -në
2 -na

After you have all that info, you should be able to
make verbs work right!? Wrong! Silindion works a bit
like Sanskrit, in that Infinitive Class Thematic
-eyello doesn't correlate to any one Present Class or
anyone Past Class or any one Stem Class.
There are some tendencies, like -sk-stems have the
Extended Athematic suffix -ello in the Infinitive, but
in general, for each verb, one must learn the STEM the
INFINITIVE CLASS, the PRESENT CLASS, the PAST CLASS
and in addition, whether or not it takes -r or -n in
the 3rd person present (a topic to be covered later).
