I love that poem. For an excellent analysis of this poem and of Tolkien's
work from a critical standpoint, check out:

Splintered Light : Logos and Language in Tolkien's World
by Verlyn Flieger
It's one of my favorite books of all time. Unfortunately, its out of print.
She has a sequel that is good, but Splintered Light is the book for
artlangers to revel in. If you are a Christian artlanger, I strongly
encourage you to find a copy; it's fascinating from the standpoint of a
practicing Christian. Artlangers of other religions will also find it
interesting, but it really resonated with my Christian faith.
Best regards,
Jeffrey Henning
