"Racial" words

Hum, but so is an Apple, and it is a commonly used food source, but also
a term used for American-Indians/AmerIndians/Native Americans who are
"wanna-be" whites.. Often used very nastily.

I think we all have words for others who are not us, especially not of
our "racial" group, but.. who empoweres them? The speaker, or the person
who hears it? Do I find offense to being called a "Honkie" no, why
should I, yes if the person using the word also has a weapon or is just
threatening me/mine with harm, I might take offense, or if I was
reminded the term might come from a name for white ladies of the evening
and like.. Of course some words are used not to enflame, but people
become enflamed cause of use..

Mike
