Actually, that's one of the things I do when I talk with a fake
Australian accent, but the last time I can recall doing that was 5 years
ago - long before I had any knowledgde of phonetics.
From comparing my transcription to others, I seem to use [V] where a lot
of people use [@] - and all along I thought I was speaking a
non-dialect.
