Other than the police there not taking reports of violence after announcing
"Well, you penple expect that, don't you?"
Other than needing to have a dozen documents in place to ensure they have
access to their partner when hospitalized, and inherit their partners'
property if/when they die, etc? And not being recognized by the IRS as
supporting each other? As an HIV+ man who lived in Atlanta for many years, I
could go on & on with examples.

These men are in the minority. In the 30 years n which I've been employed by
4 large corporations, not one of them has even recognised my partner, let
alone offered benefits; and vise-versa.
