Haha: Listen to Genesis in Kalaallisut

Hi!
I used a (German) text-to-speech system programmable in Sampa to
compile an MP3 file of the Kalaallisut (West Greenlandic) version of
the Genesis text (1. Mose 1). If you want to laught, you should click
this:
http://www.theiling.de/kalaallisut/bible-1mose01.mp3
Note that the speaker is German, so the text-to-speech system probably
speaks Kalaallisut with a heavy German accent. :-) Problems are the
uvular stop and the voiceless l / alveolar lateral voiceless
fricative. But I think her pronunciation is still quite good. :-))))
(It took a while to find out that e.g. -?b-b- produces quite a good
*unaspirated* voiceless bilabial stop and -'?b:-b- the corresponding
long one...)
Bye,
Henrik
PS: This is not meant to be a religious posting in any way.
I just happen to collect 'Let there be light!' in different
languages. :-)
