For the record, Tokana uses determiners with proper names--a feature I borrowed from Austronesian languages (I also knew of its existence in certain dialects of German and Hungarian). In fact, *all* definite noun phrases in Tokana take determiners, hence things like "the every book" instead of "every book". Matt.
