I know some of you also inhabit Usenet NGs. I've stumbled across
a thread in _soc.history.what-if_ involving artificial languages.
While it starts out (and is often concerned) with Auxlangs, our
art is also brought up specifically and poopooed as not being
worthy of serious study. If anyone cares to put in their penny
hapenny (especially Sally and [I forget your name, forgive me!]
who teach the conlanging course) in the fray, the thread is
entitled "Re: AH Challenge: Widely used artificial language".
