Back to the List with More Chomsky

Hey all! Good to be back. Stuff from me will be forthcoming.
First, though, a professor in my department forwarded this to
everyone:

It's an Ali G interview with Noam Chomsky. Some of it's mildly
amusing (he asks questions like "How many words do you know?",
which might be funny to non-linguists, and confuses the words
"bilingual" and "bisexual"), but then, kind of out of nowhere towards
the end, Ali G asks Chomsky, "What if you created a new language?",
and then goes on by making up some new words for "bread".
Chomsky's response: "If you did that, no one would pay attention
to you, because it's a waste of time." And it goes on for a few
seconds.
Apparently Noam Chomsky does check his e-mail. I'm thinking
about sending him a link to my talk, and then reminding him
about how he himself decided that the notion of a morpheme
was misguided in Aspects in 1965...
