Vocabulary design

Hi all!
I've found the essay of Rick Morneau on vocabulary design (1994). I have the
question, if anyone tried to create words the way he describes? Could you give
me examples how it works?
If you prefer any other regular way to create words, how is it? Please someone
explain me! The words I've created for my first language are constructed ad
hoc, and now I woould try to do it some regular way.
