This could have been written by the great French philosoph Pierre Dac, who said, among many other deep maxims: "Si rien n'est moins sur que l'incertain, rien n'est plus certain que ce qui est aussi sur" (please put the circumflexes back on both "sur") "If nothing is less sure than the incertain, nothing is more certain than what is equally sure".
