Lojban simple possession can be looked at as a sort of twisted construct
state using ordering rather than endings:
le mlatu
the cat
le mi mlatu
the I/me cat
my cat
le le nolraitru ku mlatu
the the noblest-ruler , cat
the King's cat
So the possessor is actually embedded between the article of the possessed
and the content word. There is also a more normal postposed form:
le mlatu pe mi
the cat of I/me
le mlatu pe le nolraitru
the cat of the noblest-ruler
the cat of the King
