Streets with names like "The Avenue", "The Boulevard" etc. are common
in Melbourne, but they've always got the "The" before the type. But my
favoritist street name is "High Street Road", which goes to/continues
one of the High Streets here. In this city which prides itself on
trams, the only "Tram Road" is one which has none, although apparently
in the ancient past it did.
