If you leave the "Allow HTML tags" checkbox unchecked on Yahoo!'s Compose page, the message should go out as plain text.

Not at all. Yahoo Mail runs on Yahoo!'s web servers and has no way of finding out what your Outlook Express parameters are even if it wanted to. All it knows is what you type into web page forms. -Mark
