Well, checked the Ethnologue, and it appears that "líguru" is Ligurian, the Gallo-Italian language spoken in Genoa and around it. It's close to Piedmontese and Lombard (my impression was correct then ;))) ), and thus very remote from Standard Italian. Monegasque is a dialect of such language.
