Maybe the medicine scenario is due to the fact that I "take" any kind of
medicine, be it solid or liquid. Well, any kind of of medicine that is
taken via the mouth - an injection wouldn't be "taken", I think. So,
maybe it is entirely a volitional thing after all - it's just that the
verb "take" over-rides the verb "drink" in the case of medicine.
