The Adena were the mound builders who preceded the Hopewell culture of the Mississippi/Ohio Valley area. I have seen dates of about 400 AD but admit I am just beginning my research into the archaeology of these people. I will actually just do a sketch of ur-Adena but will then develop the 7 daughter languages over the course of the next decade or so. -- Brad Coon hawksinger@fwi.com http://www.fortunecity.com/rivendell/everquest/624 My Conlang and Conculture pages http://www.ipfw.indiana.edu/east1/coon/web/index.htm Most of my pages including my home page http://www.geocities.com/Yosemite/Gorge/7264 My Outdoor and Primitive Skills Pages http://members.tripod.com/~Hawksinger My wine pages.
