This is kind of off-the-wall, but then so is the suggestion that Klingon is a relex of Mingo. A friend of mine on IRC claims that the Ewok language from the Star Wars series seems to be a modified Tagalog. She allegedly picked out a few Tagalog phrases in the movie. Also, her friend said that many of the alien languages were real languages modified a bit. Anyone have any info on whether any of this is true?
