Well, I'm not sure as there is a "why."  That's just how it happenend.  I
made a few words maybe a couple dozen and those are te only sounds that
showed up in any of them, so that became the full inventory.  Actually this
is one of my first conlangs and the very first one to appear on the web.  I
have a short story in Tvern El on the web if you're intrested.  Or I could
post it here and let you guys have a hand at translating it, if you'd like.
It's pretty short.
