The complicated version used on _The Complete Lojban Language_, which
la xorxes. alluded to, can be found in
http://www.lojban.org/tiki/tiki-download_wiki_attachment.php?attId=188#s25
-- it uses "termsets" (which I'm not sure anyone particularly
understands).
The simplified version proposed uses za/zi/zu + a sumti indicating a duration.

One gets used to it after a while.
It's similar to having to learn what adjective, verb, and preposition
mean if you've never studied grammar before in your life, and Latin
grammar doesn't map well to Lojban so using "traditional" terms
probably won't get you very far.
