Also, the crowd we've got is (for the most part) a very nice crowd;
if we'd attract all kinds of weirdos I don't know whether I'd stay.
I left the conlang list in (I think) 1995 exactly because all the
auxlang flaming, and didn't come back until years later when the
auxlang list was already in existence.
