Obviously no universal metric exists- the thing is
that this is a very small population here that would
want an auxlang, so it can fairly easily relate to all
our linguistic abilities and maybe be instantly
recognizable to sight (something like interlingua).
But like I said before, it would be cool, but I
wouldn't waste time on it and I don't think anyone
else will, and it's not really necessary.

By diverse crowd I meant people who are native in
other languages and have very little grasp of english

Oh and on another note, it seems interlingua is in
heavy use in the auxlang group. Anyone who knows both
English and a little bit of a Romance language can
read it no problem, but I think it can be a tad
annoying to take 5 seconds for each sentence
