my conlang (venech) which recently aquired a grammar system, started with the
writen language before i even started with the vocabulary. at the time i was
really into cyrillic and greek so my letters took on that form. but i
unfortunately and fortunately stumbled across the russian soft and hard signs which i
adapted to be the venech long sign which causes the letter before it to become
"long" or "strong" however youwish to put it. the venech alphabet appears
like this if it were translated into english

a, b, d, g, ph, z, f, e, ch, s, zh, h, i, k, l, m, n, ah, p, gw, rh, r, t,
oo, v, w, y, shch, yah, (long sign)^, ts
 'a'= at 'e'=bed 'i'=it 'ah'=cot 'oo'=boot
 a^=eight e^=beet i^=light ah^=boat z^=should zh^=judge
