While I'm not a Latin speaker, I do have a rather good Latin Dictionary here ... Merry Christmas! = festum natalem Christi! A reverse lookup of these words seems to indicate that this simply refers to the 'Celebration of Christ's birth' but as I mentioned, I don't speak the language. Could it be "Celebrate Christ's birth"? I wish you a happy new year = in annum laeta opto tibi. Happy Hanukkah = ? There was no entry for Hanukkah... - James
