There may not have been an error. What exactly was being labelled?
"Chanukiah", in Hebrew, refers to the candelabra where the items to be lit
(candles in some traditions, containers of oil in others) are placed.
Thus, to the basic "Chanuk-" are added "-ah" for the holiday and
"-iah" for the candelabra. If the label in the display was referring to the
holiday
as a whole, then , yes, it was a mistake.
