I can understand [O_o] (extra-rounded open-mid back vowel), but what has
it got to do with a "hacking cough"?  And what is [>_<]?  Some form of
implosive?  If you meant [>\_>] (ejective epiglottal plosive), then that
*is* a good rendition of a "Hacking cough".
