There's one sentence of Vokhomos in the archives?!  How did that
happen?!  That's a lot!

Well here's the most recent translation from the first book of the
scriptures.  The first recounts the creation myth.  At this point the
chief of the demons meets the goddess in battle.

Translitterated into roman letters it reads:

Ka~.doo.i.me.n&.r0.yoo.ma.sa.u.ss&.de.th0.k&.sva.i.ma.i.the||e.s&.r0.
do.vva.ri.me.lii.kt0||ii.soo.i.me.n&.s0.sluu.ta.moo.taa.e.jaa.lt0||&.d0.
roo~.mo.re.s&.r0.joo~.va.e.sv&.ti~.t0.su~.ma||sa~.gha~.si.ssii.t0|sva~.
sa~.gha.mi~.ne.spr&.dii.t0||

Tidied up, but ommitting accents it reads:

Kando Imenar yom asaussad eth kasvai'm aithe.  Esar dovvar im elikt.
Iso Imenas slutamota ejalt.  Ad ronmor esar jonva esvatint summa.
Sanghan sissit, svan sangham innespradit.

Translated into English it reads:

When Imenas heard this it was as if it possessed him.  His sense of
balance left him.  Passionately he shouted aloud.  To the roots his legs
shook together.  He recited a song, he continued to interpret his song.

I'm halfway through translating the whole text.  One page done.

Vakaman is the new name.  Due to the revised soundchanges Vokhomos is no
longer valid.  The name is said to derive from the verb vakamas, we
speak, although an alternative theory suggests it is derived from two
stems, vak- and haman-, the speech of human beings.
