Sorry, I thought you were saying you *would* volunteer if you had the skills: quite a different statement. <<<<<< Kinda. If anyone really wants to entrust their font to a rank ammateur armed with very simple software, they're free to. Had I been more confident of my ability to do a better job, I'd have spoken up on those occasions people have asked for someone to do their font.

As others have pointed out, fonts themselves are not copyrightable. <<<<<< Yeah, um, sorry. I think I may have known this, but I got myself so darned worked up into what was originally a quite harsh and rambling post about "Free Enterprise, Communism and The State Of The World Today" (TM) that I lost track of a few "minor details :-)". The Moral Of The Story (as we all know) is: Always go and make a cup of coffee before hitting "Send" on a Flame. The More Important Lesson To Be Learned is: When correcting the aforementioned Flame, you may need to do more than just hit "Delete Paragraph" a few times.

Note that there is now a fairly complete fixed-with X font: (I can't find the URL at present). <<<<<< There's an X font for the whole of Unicode?
