That is a pretty significant difference. That's a pretty powerful little
gun. I guess I can see why even having a gun in your pocket would be
considered armed rebellion; that's an awful lot of firepower.
Trehelish weapons are very low-firepower by comparison. And when most
weapons are blades of some sort, it is absolutely impossible to take them
away entirely. Honestly, everyone carries a knife as a tool as a matter of
course; you need one for your everyday life. Those knives are generally
pretty small, and most of them are probably single-edged, whereas a dagger
would be larger and always double-edged, but trying to legally define the
difference between a knife and a dagger could get difficult, and small
knives can be deadly, too. And I don't think that it would go over very
well if someone tried to introduce a law disarming the civilian population
- if the idea even occurred to anyone in the first place.
