Of possible interest to all of you who are engaged, or plan to engage, in a
graduate linguistics (anthropology too?) program--

It seems that the SOAS in London is due to receive a very substantial sum of
money to promote research in endangered languages. If I read the original
post correctly, a URL is included in the Sci.Am article. If not, I have a
very long post off the AN-List that I will be happy to forward to anyone
interested. It sounds like an excellent opportunity, and a much needed
program.
If only I were younger...(and connected academically)
